We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the verbally inspired Word of God (see Exodus 3.4; 5.1; Jer 1.9; Ezek 3.4, 10, 11). Men of God were moved by the Holy Spirit to record precisely the words that God intended. It is without error in the original writings. The Bible is God’s complete revelation of Himself and His will for the salvation of mankind and is the final authority for the Christian faith and life.

We believe in one living and true God, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three equal persons – God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are identical in essence but distinct in office and activity. God is personal, spiritual, and intelligent. He is the creator, preserver and ruler of the universe.

We believe in God the Father an infinite personal Spirit who is holy, all-powerful, all-knowing, omnipresent, eternal, transcendent, immanent, immutable, self-sufficient, self-existent, just, gracious, good, merciful, and loving. He is sovereign over the universe, created beings, and human history. He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ. He provides for, disciplines, and restores the believer.

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who became a man without ceasing to be God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of Mary while she was still a virgin. He lived a perfect life and died on the cross to defeat sin and pay the penalty for our sins. He then bodily rose from the grave and guaranteed the salvation of those who trust in him. We believe in his atonement, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal, visible return to earth.

We believe the Holy Spirit possesses all of the attributes of deity. We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent by God the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, judgment and righteousness. He regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers all who believe in Jesus Christ, baptizing them at the moment of faith into the Church. He permanently indwells believers, beginning at conversion, and gives them spiritual gifts as he determines. The Spirit-filled Christian is yielded to and empowered by the Holy Spirit to do the work of Christ and to manifest the character of Christ through the fruit of the Spirit.Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.

We believe that man was created without sin and in God’s image. However man sinned and brought spiritual and physical death to him and to mankind as a whole. The image of God in man was not erased by the fall, but merely effaced. In other words man inherited a sinful nature and is incapable of redeeming himself, but remains infinitely valuable and worthy of respect and love. Therefore every human being at any stage of human development has infinite value, dignity, and worth.

We believe that every person is a sinner by nature and choice and is in need of a savior. Jesus Christ is the savior of the world. His death provides full and sufficient payment for the sins of the whole world, and his blood is the only way a person may be delivered from God’s wrath. We believe that salvation is God’s gift and is received by man only through faith in Jesus Christ. An individual is justified by grace through faith alone, apart from human merit or works. We believe that all true believers, once saved, are kept secure in Christ forever.

We believe that Jesus has committed two ordinances to the local church, water baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which are to be observed by believers until he returns.

We believe that water baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience and proclamation by the baptized. It symbolizes the believer’s faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus.

We believe that the Lord’s Supper was instituted by our Lord Jesus and is a memorial of Christ’s death. The elements are symbols of his body broken for us, and his blood shed for the forgiveness of sins establishing a New Covenant. Every Christian has a right and obligation to partake of the elements of the Lord’s Supper.

We believe in the universal church, a living, spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe that the true universal church is comprised of local, visible assemblies of professing believers in Jesus Christ, who voluntarily join together for the purposes of worship, prayer, teaching of Scripture, discipleship and equipping, evangelism, fellowship, and any other work the New Testament outlines for the church. We believe that every local church through the qualified leadership of elders has the right to decide and govern its own affairs.

We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal joy of the believer, and the endless suffering and conscious punishment of the unbeliever.
